Dev Update – Things Are a-Comin’

Just a little heads up about what’s going on.

First off I’ve started a thread at TIGSource about Tiggit. In addition to posting news on this blog I will keep that thread updated with news as well. It might be a good place to post feedback and suggestions, at least until we get a forum of our own.

Secondly, there’s been massive progress recently on a new updater / download backend I have been working on. This is the part of the program that downloads and updates games, images and other information. I wanted something solid and reliable for the future, and that’s what we’re getting. It hasn’t been merged into the main program yet, but it is coming soon. More on this in a later post.

It has taken some time to design this system – that’s why there hasn’t been any news lately – but since it is more or less done now I will have time to do other things again.

Right now I will be adding more games again soon. I’m also contacting more of the guys who made the games we already have. Stay tuned!

    Hi guys. I’m working on a game submission form which I’ll add to the site soon.

    But until that’s done feel free to just submit games here or by email, whichever you prefer!

      Alright, here’s a copy and paste from notepad. :)

      * DX Ball (it’s a classic)
      * OpenTTD (the name should be self-explanatory)
      * Stepmania (if that works with your launcher style)
      * Dirty Split (p&c adventure I like)
      * Not Tetris 2 (the developer’s name makes sense)
      * Happyland Adventures (old platformer made in BlitzBasic)
      * The Word Alone (LD entry, flash, simple but amazing)

    Oh, and also, you should get rid of the installer, or fix it. I’m running it with admin rights out of my normal account, and, of course, it saves everything somewhere down deep in the user folder of my admin account. I’ve moved the folder to my actual account, and now everything is fine, but it’s still annoying. :smile: /2cents

      Yeah, several people have reported problems with the installer. I’m probably going to ditch it and rework the entire directory setup as well. I have a couple of other things I need to fix first though.

    We need a tag that sorts by date added to keep up with new games! Also a Voted, Not Voted one would be nice!

    Just found this program and it seems real neat! Keep up the good work.
    I would like if there was update notes that show which new games were added!
